This is and always has been the best food shop in Leicester. If it, s fish and chips you fancy or something more special Billy's is the place to go because all the food served by the hard working and pleasant staff is freshly cooked to perfection. Happy to drive past all the other outlets to get the best food. Absolutely perfect.

Woooooooooahhhh!!! This place is INCREDIBLE! After getting recommendations from a neighbour I had to try this place for myself and I am SO glad that I did! The place is buzzing, with large open plan kitchen, the staff are well presented, polite and extremely efficient. Order two lamb doner kebabs and a portion of chips to takeaway and this is when the magic happens…. The naan bread is cooked fresh before yours eyes before it’s filled to capacity with the most delicious, tender and juicy lamb doner I have ever experienced in my life. The salad is fresh and plentiful and chilli sauce was on point. The chip portion was massive and they are the best chippy chips EVER!!!! Definitely coming to visit again although may need one to share and these things are HUGE 🤣

I was a regular at Billy's many years back. I live nearby some amazing chippys - gypsy lane, blue chippy and grewals, so I've never given it much thought or gone out of my way to go to Billy's again up until recently. It was an ordinary Tues evening, the sun was shining, and I was passing the area and having a chippy night with friends. They all love a chicken kebab and paneer kebab. So I purchased these along with a small chips for under £15. Great value! The chips were amongst the best you'll find anywhere. Chunky, tasty, just slightly oily and doused in delicious chilli powder, salt and vinegar. The kebab/wraps were much, much nicer than the Blue chippy ones and even better value for money. The paneer is soft, tasty, plentiful and lots of salads and sauces filled the naan. I instantly knew that this place is and always has been a gem. There was a queue of about 15 people by the time I left. Not bad at all for a Tues evening at 7pm! Enjoy the pics and get them kebabs! You won't regret it one bit. The best chippy in Leicester consistently for many years. Well done! 👏

Don't get it... I gave brill review about 3 hrs ago. Just tasted food now. Disgusting fish taste in kebabs. I want my lamb to taste like lamb and chicken to taste like chicken. I want to be able to get in the sauce pots that they provide. Can't be same owners not nice. Someone getting greedy again. So sad. Tried again and issues resolved about the bad fish tasting kebabs. Have not come across this problem again. Also the mint/yogurt chutney no longer tastes like toothpaste. Well done Billy's Fish Bar for sorting it out. Would highly recommend again! Tried their curries and will give a 👍👍
